Caribbean Vacation Family Style {from st john with love and the delicious fatty crab island style}

What a wonderful vacation. I returned to New York City yesterday after my much anticipated family vacation to Saint John in the US Virgin Islands. The weather was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. Already back to the normal routine, but still reminiscing of this great trip. One of the (definite) highlights was dining at The Fatty Crab. We enjoyed brunch and TWO dinners there. So you know it was good. Menu is listed below. We tried basically everything. The “Yellow Curry Chicken” was among the favorites. Apparently it’s on the menu at the West Village location. See ya there!

Caribbean Travel Essentials {USVI trip soon & i’m bringing the goods}

Image

In only a few short weeks I will be heading to St. John in the USVI for a little family vacation. I could not be more excited. As the trip draws closer, I am beginning to nail down my beach and travel essentials. This summer I am totally hooked up with the goods. First, my Celine sunglasses, as previously discussed in a former post. They are polarized and perfect for the beach. Not to mention the fabulous color. Second, my beautiful new all white one piece. I love one pieces this season. They are subtle and pretty sexy (if I do say so myself). Third, the amazing A.P.C. cheetah printed beach bag. The carry all, which I recently purchased at our (now finished) sale. Fourth, gold Porselli ballet flats. Simple and great for dinners out with the fam. And finally, Rebecca Taylor sundresses! They are cool and cute. I think I’m almost set. I can’t wait.

My Most Recent Meals in Paris {they’ve been real good at bread & roses and merci café}

Yesterday I was a chic Parisian thanks to Inès. I took her up on grubbing suggestion and I checked out Bread & Roses in the 8th. While my lunch completely broke the bank, it was worth every penny. I ordered “le petit chèvre,” which consists of chèvre on nut and raisin toasts, topped with sun dried tomatoes. It also came with a side salad. Could not have been better. Today I went to Merci café on Beaumarchais. I had been to the store, but never the café. It was adorable. Such a fantastic setting. The food was equally pleasing. I had a parmesan and prosciutto salad with fresh tomatoes and baguette. Definitely saved shopping at the store for dessert. I may or may not have bought a pair of Isabel Marant jeans in my travels today. Stay tuned.

The Final Week {of summer in long branch, nj}

I am residing in Long Branch, NJ before complete freedom (college). I’m hanging out and helping out on a photo shoot, it’s a fantastic combination.

Somewhat obsessed with this little boutique hotel. The rooms are adorable, along with the lobby and café.

The Pier Village in Long Branch is fairly new to the town, built only about 8 years ago, and includes many fun restaurants and shops. Safe to say my week is going to be pretty great.
