In only a few short weeks I will be heading to St. John in the USVI for a little family vacation. I could not be more excited. As the trip draws closer, I am beginning to nail down my beach and travel essentials. This summer I am totally hooked up with the goods. First, my Celine sunglasses, as previously discussed in a former post. They are polarized and perfect for the beach. Not to mention the fabulous color. Second, my beautiful new all white one piece. I love one pieces this season. They are subtle and pretty sexy (if I do say so myself). Third, the amazing A.P.C. cheetah printed beach bag. The carry all, which I recently purchased at our (now finished) sale. Fourth, gold Porselli ballet flats. Simple and great for dinners out with the fam. And finally, Rebecca Taylor sundresses! They are cool and cute. I think I’m almost set. I can’t wait.
I had almost lost my love for Rebecca Taylor, but the love came back like never before after visiting her meat packing district boutique this past afternoon. Not only was there a wonderful collection of blouses, skirts and dresses but her spring/summer accessories line is too good. I walked out a happy camper. Nearly all items in the store are marked 70% off with an additional 20% off! Cannot beat that. I scored an adorable new wallet, wave printed skirt and green silk dress! The sale is also available on her website: http://rebeccataylor.com/. I wish every shopping experience were like this one.
Here at APC there are many irons in the fire. This morning I helped to unpack garments in order to prepare for a Sample Sale that will occur next week. For the remainder of the morning I worked on market analysis on eCommerce. I’ll give ya’ll a little peek.
Jacket: Seven for All Man Kind. Super old purchase, but timeless.
Dress: Rebecca Taylor Nouveau Ballet Dress. Love the printed silk and ruched top.
Shoes: Chloe Cork Wedges. A recent splurge, but they are getting excessive use.
Tote: Swildens, a boutique right down the block from APC on Rue Madame. I love the simplicity of the fabric with the adorable graphic.
Sunnies: Ray Ban. Just scooped them this weekend at Printemps in the Place d’Italie Centre Commercial. It is a new variation for Ray Ban and i love it.
Even though the weather outside looks yucky and miserable, Summer is right around the corner. Can you believe May 1 was yesterday? I sure can’t. Thanks for Amanda Garrett at Rebecca Taylor, I have a small preview of what is to come for Rebecca Taylor this Summer. As we all know, Rebecca Taylor is probably my favorite contemporary designer. She brings a girly and feminine style mainstream. So prepare to see flowing frocks in pastel prints. Wahoo.
This Spring season is all about lengthly frocks. Let’s be honest, they are everywhere, but I’ve chosen a few favorites. The first is a T by Alexander Wang maxi. It is fabricated in jersey and features an asymmetrical hem. Perfect to rock with ankle boots and metal bangles. The second is by Young, Fabulous & Broke. This one shouldered frock is tie died and has a gathered elastic banding at the waist and left side. It comes with the metallic leather belt shown in the photograph. The dress on the far right is Rebecca Taylor. This v-neck silk midi dress has a jacquard tulip print and a smocked elastic bodice. The spaghetti straps are adjustable and it has a ruched waist. Loooove them. They are all available for purchase on shopbop.com. Which should I get?
Dreams really do come true! This Spring two of my favorite designers, Rebecca Taylor and Chan Luu, will come together to create an exclusive scarf collection. The collection will consist of 2 different scarf fabrications. One will be a floral printed whisper weight cashmere scarf in a tea flower pattern, which will retail for $225.00. The other option is a cotton embroidered tassel scarf. This scarf will come in both a pink pattern, and a white and blue pattern and retails for $100.00. I attached photos below. These scarves will be available exclusively through Rebecca Taylor. I can’t wait!
