I could not be more ready for the Fall, (literally) in every way possible. The shoes, the clothes, the weather and the upcoming school year are all very much on my radar screen. Luckily, I was able to score my big pieces on sale in the past few weeks. The first are these incredible Burberry Chelsea boots. I wandered into Scoop on my day off and got very lucky. They’re awesome. Also, my new school bag! The traditional Alexander Wang Prisma tote but in a classic and durable grey fabric. Another sale item. A.K.A. I’ve been winning and I know this Fall will be too. Who else is excited?
I love the sports wear chic thing going on with the Alexander Wang Spring line. The dresses are super sexy and wearable. I wish I could fund them all (or one for that matter). In addition, I am really excited about the new Alexander Wang “objects.” Sold exclusively on the Wang website and in Wang stores is his “objects” collection, which consists of miscellanies like an ashtray, lighter, bike lock and more. They’re so awesome. Check em out. P.s. His show is tomorrow night. Good luck!
Either get it for your sweetie, or get it for yourself. Dominique Ansel Bakery on Spring Street between Sullivan and Thompson is the best. All that you see above exists. You’re wondering what the mysterious goodie is in the middle? It is a “Perfect Little Egg Sandwich.” Aka a small brioche with creamy scrambled eggs and gruyere. The “Gâteau Battu” on the left is almost like a popover (amazing) and on the right is chocolate croissant, of course. Go there now. And for the garments. I love red anytime. From the top left: Marc by Marc Jacobs Tote $530, A.P.C. Gingham Sailor Top $235, Miu Miu Leather Brogues $510. Bottom from the left: Alexander Wang Crepe de Chine Dress $450, Stella McCartney Wool Jumpsuit $1,245, Isabel Marant Drop Earrings $95 & Alexander Wang Trimmed Glossed Jacket $745. All SO good.
I have had a serious thing for shoes lately. This pre-spring and spring I am all about heeled ankle boots and sneakers. Super versatile and will even work through the summer. Here are my choices. From the top photo down: Isabel Marant Dicker Boots $580, Maison Martin Margiela Brushed-Suede Boots $955, A.P.C. Classic Boots $530 & Acne Pistol Boots $570. And for the sneaks (bottom): Alexander Wang Dillon Sneakers $385, Isabel Marant Betty Leather Sneakers $680, Chloé Leather Trimmed Sneaker $545 & Lanvin Suede and Shearling Sneaker $650. All available on Netaporter. Get em.
Finnnnally made it to Miss Lily’s this afternoon for Brunch. Could not be more excited that this place is literally down my block, it’s so authentic and so good. Their jerk chicken was right on. In other words, time to go back to school! While my start date is earlier than most in the city, I start classes again on Tuesday. I definitely need a backpack this semester to “commute” uptown. Here are a few options. Most are not durable for school but cute just the same. From the top left: Rag & Bone, Fjallraven, Christopher Shannon x Eastpak, Alexander Wang, The Row & Incase. All make for different purposes.
Sorry about the hiatus. Finals were insane, and we are having our annual Winter sale at A.P.C. (aka additional mayhem). But I’m back to help decide what you need for your last minute gifts!
From the top left. Every take on the little black dress $25, only the best popcorn tin from Bergdorf Goodman $75, Lanvin acetate iPhone 4 case $75, Mulberry leather case and travel adapter $230, Lanvin plastic set of 2 luggage tags $70, Smythson camera case $230, Moncler beanie hat $355, Soul Cycle: buy a set of classes! prices range, Comme des Garcons leather pouch $190 & Alexander Wang perch fumo large wristlet $250. You’ll be hooked up with this list.
1. Sorry for the posting hiatus. Life has been super crazy here in New York. Don’t worry all good things. 2. More importantly. I have had a real “going out bag” situation. All of mine are either too big, or too small. I love rocking my Wang Marti backpack when I’m out, but it’s proven much much too big. Gets in the way of all the socializing. My baby vintage Chanel does not fit anything. It turns the night into a struggle. So what’s the alternative. Alexander Wang always has the absolute dopest options. If I could afford (one of) these right now, life would be complete. A girl can dream.
