I could not be more ready for the Fall, (literally) in every way possible. The shoes, the clothes, the weather and the upcoming school year are all very much on my radar screen. Luckily, I was able to score my big pieces on sale in the past few weeks. The first are these incredible Burberry Chelsea boots. I wandered into Scoop on my day off and got very lucky. They’re awesome. Also, my new school bag! The traditional Alexander Wang Prisma tote but in a classic and durable grey fabric. Another sale item. A.K.A. I’ve been winning and I know this Fall will be too. Who else is excited?
While I am somewhat blown away by the thought of Fall, I am also extremely excited. As we received our Fall products at A.P.C. nearly one month ago, Autumn has been on my mind. I decided to put together a few Pre-Fall looks to stir a bit of excitement, while not diving in too fast. I snagged these (sweet) camo pants by Current/Elliott last week. Guaranteed they will be sold out in every store by next month. They have a fantastic fit. Plus, who doesn’t love a nice pair of camo pants? The E. Porselli A.P.C. flats should be familiar to you avid readers. The brown leather bag above will be a new addition to my wardrobe. Another great A.P.C. piece. Are you surprised? The top is a simple Isabel one. Second outfit up is on the sweeter side. Chic The Row cate eye sunglasses paired with this lovely silk A.P.C. ruffle dress and the Isabel Marant bad ass Jenny boots. I’m psyched!
In only a few short weeks I will be heading to St. John in the USVI for a little family vacation. I could not be more excited. As the trip draws closer, I am beginning to nail down my beach and travel essentials. This summer I am totally hooked up with the goods. First, my Celine sunglasses, as previously discussed in a former post. They are polarized and perfect for the beach. Not to mention the fabulous color. Second, my beautiful new all white one piece. I love one pieces this season. They are subtle and pretty sexy (if I do say so myself). Third, the amazing A.P.C. cheetah printed beach bag. The carry all, which I recently purchased at our (now finished) sale. Fourth, gold Porselli ballet flats. Simple and great for dinners out with the fam. And finally, Rebecca Taylor sundresses! They are cool and cute. I think I’m almost set. I can’t wait.
Two new purchases that I’m really excited about. I splurged on the Darcel Disappoints x Colette collaboration iPhone case from the Colette Carnaval. I love it. It’s kitschy and fun. If you are unaware of the collaboration, it just looks like a funky graphic case, but if you’re in the know, it’s a fun thing to spot. Alllllso decided to kick it old school with a pair of men’s 574 New Balance sneaks in black. When I saw a friend at work with them, I immediately fell in love. Perfect to pair with girly dresses or my A.P.C. jeans. Buying new stuff feels good.
Everyone’s favorite summer event has (nearly) arrived. The A.P.C. summer sale begins June 7 (a.k.a. tomorrow). What does this fabulous sale consist of? Pretty much the entire store at 30% or 50% off. No, the raw denim, quilts, pre-fall and all other off-collection pieces are not included. BUT! All pre-spring, spring and summer items (with only few exceptions) are. The sale will be available online, at the Mercer store and at the West Fourth store. Don’t wait around, get to your local A.P.C. as soon as possible. The doors open tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. Sizes are limited, so don’t miss out. My pick? The yellow zip-up cowboy boots. I’ve been waiting for these babies all season! Tomorrow, they will be mine.
Last night was the grand opening party for the new A.P.C. store in the West Village on West Fourth and Perry Street. AKA my place of work. What was my attire for the event? Current collection A.P.C., obviously. I wore the traditional A.P.C. raw denim mini skirt, tan heeled penny loafers, a navy merino wool cardigan and a beautiful gold silk paisley top. It was quite a look. The party had a fantastic turn out, the store was jammed! Definitely a night to remember.
Pointy or round toe, I don’t care. Matte black and patent leather pumps are, just so, timeless. I am over geometric and “trendy ” “it” shoes. Probably because they take over my closet, hence my current hatred towards my entire shoe collection. You will hate them too next season (if you don’t already). My suggestion is to only go top of the line for these, a.k.a (the classic) Manolo Blanik, Jimmy Choo, Giuseppe Zanotti and Prada. They’ll never be bougie, they’ll always be cool. I’m with Garance Doré on this one.
