So, 4+ long years have past, and I must admit a lot has changed. Previously a die hard New Yorker, I am now almost Parisian (I’ve already been here for 3 years). While I was a pretty big yogi in New York, I now practice nearly daily. I am also both fascinated and kind of obsessed with health and wellbeing. This may or may not give you a small idea of what surprises are to come your way on Word, but that being said, I am still a fashion loving foodie. So nooooo worries. You’ll still get the hookup.
In the spirit of this new healthy thing – I want to talk a little bit about a place close to my home and heart. Bob’s Juice Bar. This place is basically a dream come true for Americans turned Frenchies, and/or Frenchies who like American things. It is the only place in Paris you can find a real bagel (if you have another spot and want to challenge me, I dare you). It’s also one of the few places you can find overnight oats that actually taste really really good (and are pretty addicting), gluten free muffins that are delicious and warm, yummy vegan stews. Let’s just say I highly suggest this spot. It really rocks. For more info – http://www.bobsjuicebar.com/
Happy 2018 all. After a short but also very long and fulfilling 4 and a half years – I’m back. Since you last heard from me I graduated from Barnard, moved to Paris, did a bunch of castings and photo shoots for A.P.C., and now I’m sourcing fabric for the men’s collection at The Kooples. I’m still me, that fashion and food lover, but I’ve cultivated so many other passions that I just can’t wait to share with y’all. Cliché as it may sound, it’s 2018 and I’m back. Stay tuned, cause I have tons of little (and very big) surprises up my sleeve.
I could not be more ready for the Fall, (literally) in every way possible. The shoes, the clothes, the weather and the upcoming school year are all very much on my radar screen. Luckily, I was able to score my big pieces on sale in the past few weeks. The first are these incredible Burberry Chelsea boots. I wandered into Scoop on my day off and got very lucky. They’re awesome. Also, my new school bag! The traditional Alexander Wang Prisma tote but in a classic and durable grey fabric. Another sale item. A.K.A. I’ve been winning and I know this Fall will be too. Who else is excited?
What a wonderful vacation. I returned to New York City yesterday after my much anticipated family vacation to Saint John in the US Virgin Islands. The weather was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. Already back to the normal routine, but still reminiscing of this great trip. One of the (definite) highlights was dining at The Fatty Crab. We enjoyed brunch and TWO dinners there. So you know it was good. Menu is listed below. We tried basically everything. The “Yellow Curry Chicken” was among the favorites. Apparently it’s on the menu at the West Village location. See ya there!
While I am somewhat blown away by the thought of Fall, I am also extremely excited. As we received our Fall products at A.P.C. nearly one month ago, Autumn has been on my mind. I decided to put together a few Pre-Fall looks to stir a bit of excitement, while not diving in too fast. I snagged these (sweet) camo pants by Current/Elliott last week. Guaranteed they will be sold out in every store by next month. They have a fantastic fit. Plus, who doesn’t love a nice pair of camo pants? The E. Porselli A.P.C. flats should be familiar to you avid readers. The brown leather bag above will be a new addition to my wardrobe. Another great A.P.C. piece. Are you surprised? The top is a simple Isabel one. Second outfit up is on the sweeter side. Chic The Row cate eye sunglasses paired with this lovely silk A.P.C. ruffle dress and the Isabel Marant bad ass Jenny boots. I’m psyched!
I am absolutely in love with every garment in the A.P.C. x Vanessa Seward capsule collaboration. Vanessa Seward, the former creative director for Azzaro, has teamed up with A.P.C. in this fabulously girly and sophisticated collaboration. There are floral dresses, a little golden brocade and definitely a bit of Beyoncé style glitter. The price tag is not generous, but I promise you it is worth it. The collection launched in New York this past Tuesday at the A.P.C. West Fourth Street store (where I work). The party was a huge success. Please come by to check out the pieces. P.S. Who’s the cutie in the pictures below? (
Thank you to Zack Repko for the images)
In only a few short weeks I will be heading to St. John in the USVI for a little family vacation. I could not be more excited. As the trip draws closer, I am beginning to nail down my beach and travel essentials. This summer I am totally hooked up with the goods. First, my Celine sunglasses, as previously discussed in a former post. They are polarized and perfect for the beach. Not to mention the fabulous color. Second, my beautiful new all white one piece. I love one pieces this season. They are subtle and pretty sexy (if I do say so myself). Third, the amazing A.P.C. cheetah printed beach bag. The carry all, which I recently purchased at our (now finished) sale. Fourth, gold Porselli ballet flats. Simple and great for dinners out with the fam. And finally, Rebecca Taylor sundresses! They are cool and cute. I think I’m almost set. I can’t wait.
