Back to school! How exciting. I have a super semester ahead. Who knew school could be this enjoyable. With courses from Fashion in China to Women in French Cinema, I am psyched. I also finally conquered my age old problem: what is the best bag for my 1 train commute? The answer: Herschel’s Settlement backpack. It’s awesome. With a pocket for my laptop and it’s denim fabrication, I am in heaven. But I really really want this A.P.C. limited edition pochette to put inside. They are only available in A.P.C. stores and the quantities are limited. Should I or shouldn’t I?

New York feels awful cold after a wonderful week in Miami Beach. I got lucky. My wonderful and talented mother happened to be shooting down South on the week I had taken off of work! Alas, I had a nice week of R & R. We stayed at the Sagamore hotel on Collins. It was truly a dream. The proclaimed “Art Hotel” is well designed and beautiful. I enjoyed every waking (and sleeping) moment of the trip. But, I will say the SLS hotel just a few doors down was my favorite. Their innovative architecture and cool vibe made for delicious meals and fun exploration. I am already looking forward to going back. School starts up again on Tuesday. Until next time.

How did I not purchase this sooner? The Alexander Wang Brenda bag is just too perfect. I can’t seem to stop using it. It’s truly a necessity for meandering and especially going out. Snagged mine on consignment! Wang keeps bringing back this style for more. On another note, I can’t seem to get enough of silk pants. Not only do they look fabulous, but they feel like sweatpants…what could be better? My favorite pairs are featured above. From the left: Michael Kors, A.P.C. and Stella McCartney. The Stella and Kors pair are available on Netaporter, and the A.P.C. pair is available through A.P.C. directly. Cyber Monday is coming up and Black Friday has come and gone. Y’all ready for the holiday season?

Crazy that a storm could literally put New York out of commission. I booked it for Montclair early last Sunday morning to spend time with my family and I am thankful that I did. I was not about to brace this bad girl alone in my studio. Thanks to the Guest of a Guest Instagram round up, I think I have seen it all. These are the best two photos that I have seen. Unfortunately, I missed the Hurricane Party advertised in the first photograph. The second photograph is of the Jane hotel, located on West and Jane Streets. But, in better news, there are two really awesome collaborations out with my one and only A.P.C. While A.P.Carhartt has been done in the past, this year it has gotten the necessary hype it deserves. With a down vest for girls and the rest for guys, it’s just great. Second is a capsule collection for men with Louis W, an A.P.C. designer. My favorite piece is the two tone leather shearling jacket, I wish it came in my size. Hope everyone is safe and sound from Sandy!

GOTEM. After many trials and tribulations of the all together wrong wallet, I have finally found a winner. This Comme des Garcons classic is sure to last me (at least) a few years. The glossy exterior black leather accompanied by the florescent interior truly won me over. Your wallet goes with ya everywhere, might as well make it good. It’s available on OpeningCeremony.us. I highly suggest it to all. On my OC shopping venture, I also fell in love with these two marvelous backpacks. The first, a fab Jeremy Scott option comes in (one of the coolest) rainbow fur repeat patterns #awesome. The second is a MVIO OC exclusive. Camouflage in print, low key in style. I’m into it. The backpack is partly inspired by the ridiculous amount of work I have this semester. Hence my lack of posting. Sorry kids, I’ll try to keep it coming.

How exciting! The Cut blog released a very awesome story on A.P.C. and their “Parisian-cool” counter parts. I feel so privileged to be one of them. I have been anxiously awaiting this piece and it is finally here. Please check it out. Click the images to explore the slideshow.
