Summer is FINALLY approaching. Thank god. I can’t take this rain and chilly weather. With the seasonal spirit in mind, I have a few favorite swim suits. Recently, I have taken a liking to one pieces. They are sexy without showing too much skin. They leave some to be desired and are extremely flattering on every figure (duh). My three faves are shown above. A fab DVF zebra piece, a girly Chloé and the A.P.C. x Tooshie collaboration tie dye suit. The prints are just perfect on these. As for two pieces. They’re always good. Zimmermann is my all time favorite bathing suit designer at the moment. Launched by two Australian sisters in 1991, they know swim wear (and designed the ruffled bathing suit on the bottom far left). Miu Miu’s frilly halter and Mulberry’s string bikini are equally adorable. Get ready for the beach people. I can’t wait to vacation in Saint John with my family at the end of July.

Tea and Sympathy {british nibbles and imaginably delightful tea}

I take after my mother. Therefore, I love tea and scones. Today I went to Tea and Sympathy on Greenwich in the West Village for the first time. I did not enjoy tea and scones, but the British grub was fantastic. Garlic chicken salad? Oh yes. Flavorful and delicious. The place is very quant and very cute. Adorned with tea cups and treats, Tea and Sympathy will suit any needs. It definitely satisfied my lunch break one. Definitely going back for tea time. Who’s down?

Hiatus Averted {it’s finally summer and i promise it’s the last time i’ll say sorry, ps. miss lily’s now has a store?}

After a few wonderful days in Atlanta, Georgia, celebrating my cousin’s graduation from Emory, I am finally back in New York. In even better news, I am officially on summer vacation. While I will be working at A.P.C. full time, it could not feel better to take a rest from school. Therefore you can expect more regular updates. I truly apologize, things as usual have been crazy but now all shall be normalized. ALSO! Guess what? Now Miss Lily’s, the super cool Jamaican restaurant and neighboring juice bar, which are located on Sullivan Street in Soho, have opened a record shop and boutique store. It is just adorable. I got an awesome t-shirt and checked out their great tunes. Please stop by. It’s on Sullivan’s Houston Street corner.

My New and Stylish Study Center {the diana center at barnard college}

Saturday night I received some very exciting news. I found out that I have been admitted to Barnard College for Fall 2012. Fordham wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and I could not be happier to move on to Barnard. For those of you unfamiliar with Barnard College, it is an official college of Columbia University. Therefore, students are able to take all of your classes at Columbia University and also be part of a smaller, female community. On to the fabulousness. In addition to being an outstanding academic institution, it has the coolest study and work center I have ever seen. This place is called the Diana Center. The Diana Center is a U.S. “Green” building with incredible architecture and chic interior design. I could not be more lucky that this is where I will be spending much of my time studying. Check it out. You’ll be jealous.

I am extremely apologetic for my long absence. I have been crazy busy. Not only is my semester finishing (SUMMER), but I have also been working a ton. In addition, my Seventeen Prom gigs have been filmed! Unfortunately due to the termination of the TV show “The Revolution” as a whole, our segment was not filmed. In other news, y’all should check out the A.P.C. over stock sale this weekend in Brooklyn! It is at 51 Bergen Street, The Invisible Dog. It is an easy subway ride from Manhattan on the F line. Lucked Out On This One {good old isabel marant stars and stripes}

Both fortunately and unfortunately I found myself shopping on the Internet during the wee hours of the night last week (yes, late, after I had gone out). Luckily enough, I found and scored this beautiful old Isabel Marant stars and stripes dress. I am kind of obsessed. It’s 100% silk, it has ruffles and it’s comfortable. Oh, did I mention it’s Isabel Marant? What more could a girl ask for. To be honest, it’s a nice change of pace from this seasons loud and in your face tie dyes and varsity numbers, and it’s all mine. Can’t wait for the weather to change (again) into hot and steamy days for this frock. Summer, come back!

What I Wore {to the a.p.c. west fourth grand opening party}

Last night was the grand opening party for the new A.P.C. store in the West Village on West Fourth and Perry Street. AKA my place of work. What was my attire for the event? Current collection A.P.C., obviously. I wore the traditional A.P.C. raw denim mini skirt, tan heeled penny loafers, a navy merino wool cardigan and a beautiful gold silk paisley top. It was quite a look. The party had a fantastic turn out, the store was jammed! Definitely a night to remember.
